Common Questions and Answers for Dayton Outdoor Weddings

HOW MANY HOURS DOES THE RENTAL FEE INCLUDE? 

We generally try to stick with 10-12 hours total on your wedding day with guests out by midnight at the latest  (we can be flexible with reasonable requests)

HOW MUCH IS THE DEPOSIT?: 

A small initial payment is required to hold a date permanently and is applied to your balance

 

IS IT REFUNDABLE?:  

NO   (although in some circumstances if the date can likely be re-rented it may be)

 

WHEN IS THE BALANCE DUE?: 

30 days before the event 

 

CAN I RENT JUST THE CEREMONY AREA? 

No (although we can rent just the reception

 

WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?:  

Venmo, Cash App, Zelle, Credit Card, Cash, Check, Apple Pay, Money order
 

ARE THERE CHANGING AREAS FOR THE BRIDE, GROOM, AND/OR WEDDING PARTY?: 

 YES

 

CAN WE HAVE OUR REHEARSAL HERE? 

Yes (although this is based on availability)

 

HOW MUCH TIME IS ALLOCATED FOR THE REHEARSAL?: 

2-3 hours

 

WHAT ABOUT A MORNING AFTER FOR CLEAN UP OR MIMOSAS?  

NO.   In some cases, we allow people to come back the next day to round up their stuff before 10 AM.   

DO WE HAVE TO RENT THE TABLES, CHAIRS, AND LINENS?

NO. We provide all tables, chairs, tablecloths, 
 

WHAT'S THE CANCELLATION POLICY?:  

We refund all of your money with the exception of the initial $400 payment

 

WHAT'S YOUR WEATHER CONTINGENCY (BACKUP) PLAN FOR OUTDOOR SPACES?:  

We always have indoor options as a back up 

 

DO YOU HAVE LIABILITY INSURANCE? 

Yes

 

DO YOU REQUIRE US TO HAVE INSURANCE? 

No.  

 

DO YOU HAVE AN IN-HOUSE CATERER OR A LIST OF "PREFERRED" CATERERS?  

No.  You have the choice to shop around and find the best price.  We do not try to pressure you to use a particular vendor

 

ARE WE REQUIRED TO PURCHASE ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES FROM YOU?

No.  You can save money and bring your own or have your guests bring their own.  Just remember you can not sell your drinks to your guests.

 

ARE WE REQUIRED TO USE A LICENCED BARTENDER?

No.  It’s up to you.  We do have an in-house bartender available for $250 for the evening

 

IS THERE A KITCHEN AVAILABLE FOR THE CATERER?  

Yes

 

CAN WE USE THE KITCHEN TO WARM OUR OWN FOOD? 

Yes, but only for pre-cooked food. We do not provide pots, pans, or utensils

 

ARE PLATES, SILVERWARE, AND GLASSWARE PROVIDED, OR WILL I HAVE TO RENT THEM MYSELF OR GET THEM THROUGH MY CATERER?:   

 We do not provide plates, silverware, or glassware

 

IS THERE PLENTY OF REFRIGERATOR SPACE FOR FOOD AND DRINKS

YES

and we have a variety of containers to store and serve your drinks. 

 

CAN I BRING IN A CAKE FROM AN OUTSIDE BAKER

YES

IS THERE A CAKE-CUTTING FEE? 

It’s up to you how you want the cake cut.  We don’t cut it for you.

 

IS THERE A CORKAGE FEE?: 

No

 

DO WE NEED TO BRING OUR OWN ICE?

Yes although we often have some extra in case you run out.  We do have plenty of freezer storage space
 

DO YOU PROVIDE SERVERS FOR THE FOOD

No.  Although we do have a food and drink manager available for hire for $200, but we do not serve the food or bus tables.

 

WILL THE VENUE ALREADY BE DECORATED WHEN WE ARRIVE?

Yes. 

All of the lights and neutral decorations are part of our standard rental package

 

ARE WE ALLOWED TO BRING IN OUR OWN DECORATIONS? 

Yes. 

We provide neutral decorations and you are welcome to add your personal touches

 

CAN WE HAVE YOU DO ALL THE DECORATIONS?

Yes.   

For an upgraded fee between $250-$300 just tell us your wedding colors and style for centerpieces and we will take care of everything for you

 

CAN I MOVE THINGS AROUND OR DO I HAVE TO LEAVE EVERYTHING AS IS ?   

We generally try to set everything up for you, but you are welcome to fine-tune the setup. Check with us for any major changes.

 

CAN WE USE CANDLES / SPARKLERS/  FOOD TRUCK / BOUNCY HOUSE ?

Yes if used responsibly

 

DO YOU HAVE SIGNAGE OR OTHER AIDS TO DIRECT GUESTS TO MY EVENT?

Yes

 

DO YOU HAVE OUTDOOR FIRE PITS AND WOOD

Englewood location - Yes.  we generally try to keep a stockpile of wood as well

Riverside - No

 

CAN I HIRE MY OWN VENDORS OR IS THERE A PREFERRED VENDOR LIST WE 

NEED TO STICK TO?:  

You are welcome to choose your own vendors

 

DO YOU OFFER ON-SITE WEDDING COORDINATION SERVICES?: 

NO

 

CAN THE VENUE ACCOMMODATE A DJ OR LIVE BAND?

Yes

 

WHAT TIME CAN MY VENDORS START SETTING UP ON THE DAY OF THE WEDDING?:  

Normally 11 am

 

DO YOU EVER RENT OUT MORE THAN ONE WEDDING OR EVENT PER DAY?

No, we only do one rental per day

 

DO YOU HAVE AN IN-HOUSE DJ AND SOUND SYSTEM

Yes.  We have an experienced in-house DJ available for $500 which includes rehearsal, ceremony, and reception

DO YOU HAVE YOUR OWN IN-HOUSE PHOTOGRAPHER 

Yes.  We have a very reasonably priced photographer for $600
 

IS THERE PARKING ON SITE AND IF SO, IS IT COMPLIMENTARY? 

Yes we have plenty of free parking on site

 

CAN WE LEAVE CARS OVERNIGHT IF NECESSARY

Yes although we would like them picked up by 10 am the next day

 

ARE CABS/RIDESHARES (LIKE UBER OR LYFT) EASILY ACCESSIBLE FROM THE VENUE?: 

Yes

 

WHAT OVERNIGHT ACCOMMODATIONS DO YOU PROVIDE? 

None.  However, we have several nice hotel options within 3 miles of our venue.

 

IS THE SITE FULLY ACCESSIBLE FOR PEOPLE WITH  DISABILITIES?: 

Englewood location YES.  Riverside location NO  

 

AT THE END OF THE NIGHT, DO WE HAVE TO MOVE THE TABLES AND ROUND UP ALL OF THE TABLECLOTHS AND CHAIR COVERS.

No.  You only need to worry about your own stuff.

 

DO WE HAVE TO CLEAN UP OUR OWN MESS

Yes.  Generally, we ask that you leave the facility how you found it or at least make a reasonable effort to.  We understand that it may be a long night for you so we don’t expect everything to be perfect

 

DO YOU HAVE A RECYCLING POLICY?

 NO (sorry to say. But we are working on it
